Two-Tone Marble Kitchen Renovation with Island in Dubai

The original kitchen was finished throughout in dark cherry-toned timber with a black stone worktop, small beige wall tiles and a patterned border strip that dated the room instantly. A heavy timber island sat in the middle of the floor offering very little storage, a tiled suspended ceiling with scattered downlights flattened the whole space, and a surface-mounted black chimney hood dominated the cooking wall.

TAM Living rebuilt the kitchen as a two-tone scheme — matte white full-height units and wall cabinets above, warm walnut-grain fronts below — with slim vertical brass handles as the only hardware detail. Deep green marble was used for the worktops and the island top, set against a white marble splashback that continues up into a full-height feature panel around the appliance recess. Two display cabinets with slim black frames and warm internal lighting were built into the run either side of a concealed extractor, LED strips were hidden beneath the wall units and along the island edge, and the suspended ceiling was replaced with a flat plastered ceiling carrying recessed circular downlights and an adjustable track spot over the island. Large-format marble-effect porcelain flooring was laid throughout.

The result is a warmer, brighter and far more considered kitchen. The island now works as a real prep and gathering point, light moves across the space instead of being absorbed by dark timber, and the palette of white, walnut, green marble and brass gives the room a luxury feel that will age far better than the original scheme.
