Do I need an NOC to renovate my apartment kitchen in Dubai?
Almost always. Most towers require an NOC from building management before work starts, and any change to plumbing or electrics usually needs approval too. We check your building’s rules at the site visit and prepare the paperwork where we can.
Can I stay in the apartment during the work?
Yes. The work area is sealed off and cleaned daily. You will be without a working kitchen for the duration, but the rest of the flat stays liveable.
Can you move the sink or the hob in an apartment?
Sometimes, within limits. Drainage and gas positions in towers are fixed to the riser, so small moves are usually possible and large ones are not. We tell you which at the site visit rather than after demolition.
I rent my apartment — can I still renovate?
You will need written permission from the owner as well as the building NOC. Once you have the owner’s approval, the process is the same as for an owner-occupier.
How long does an apartment kitchen take?
Thirty days from demolition to handover, with the date written into the contract. Approval times vary by building, so we start the paperwork before the build is scheduled.
