FAQs
Do I need an NOC to renovate my apartment kitchen in Sharjah?
Almost always. Most Sharjah buildings require an NOC from building management or the owners’ association before work starts, and changes to plumbing or electrics generally need approval too. We check your building’s rules at the site visit and prepare the paperwork where we can.
I rent my flat — can I still renovate?
You will need written permission from the owner as well as the building NOC. Once the owner has approved it, the process is the same as for an owner-occupier.
My building is old — is that a problem?
Not usually, but it does need checking. We inspect the drainage, valves and circuits once the old kitchen is out, and tell you what we find before ordering anything — including if something will cost extra to put right.
Can you move the sink or the hob?
Within limits. Drainage and gas positions are tied to the building riser, so small moves are usually possible and large ones are not. We tell you which at the site visit rather than after demolition.
Can I stay in the flat during the work?
Yes. The work area is sealed off and cleaned daily. You will be without a working kitchen for the duration, but the rest of the flat stays liveable.
